I'm sorry...
I'm sorry,
If you see me,
But not what you imagined,
I made as possible I could,
To retain this matter on time,
If It is not what you expected,
You are free to choose.
I'm sorry,
If I was not so honest,
at the beginning,
May be I thought,
A bit of mistery.
Conversation would be more attractive.
I'm sorry,
but the brigth of your smile and eyes,
shine enough here,
the rainy and gloomy environment,
Even if only,
Through a small screen.
I'm sorry,
by thousands of matters I start talking,
and never finish,
But I feel with you,
The need of the frankness,
and to be fragile.
and you,
Instead of dissappear,
try to unsderstand,
With a happy emoji everyday.
I'm sorry,
If I did not get on time,
If in the space's relativity,
Another woman came first,
before I go on boarding,
that airplane which goes throghout the continents,
and she is lucky for seeing you and conquert.
I'm sorry,
If I did not pray enough,
Or there were missing fasting and alms,
to move God's wil,
to have the chance of meeting you,
Others would comment: "He is not conveniant",
I feel there were not more sacrifices.
I'm sorry,
If I got your hopes up,
If I told you everithing in a while,
If I looked for excuses to know from you,
I only wanted you to know,
that this human being is not often like that
With the others.
I am sorry,
If at the ending,
I did not respond the engagement questions,
You might ask me,
my time,
my body,
my life,
If you would know that I was not going to answer,
Because I was afraid of doing it,
my will,
Was yours too.
I am sorry,
If I told you are like wine,
As soon as we talk,
I like you more,
like a glass of a fine aged spirit,
And later,
I realize I wanted more,
Of same reference,
Without let it finish.
I am sorry,
If I did not answer on time,
I was trying to continue my life without you,
I tried to go the church,
close my eyes,
Pray for you,
And wish your hand was holding mine.
I am sorry,
Verily,
I am so sorry,
If the geography is not the main issue,
Instead of my distant insecurity,
But,
among my few certainties,
The only one thing matters to me,
It Was not to hurt you,
And hurt myself.
Note: The stanzas follow no particular order; each one stands as an independent expression, unconnected to those that precede or follow it. I should mention, however, that if the ending of each stanza carries more impact than the one before it, that was, in fact, the intention. The well-known adage applies here: "The order of the factors does not change the product." Thank you for reading.
